Bangalore Metro to Start Services Early at 5:00 am on March 1 for Karnataka State Police Run

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that metro services will start earlier than usual on Sunday, March 1. Instead of the regular 7.00 am schedule, trains will begin running from 5.00 am to help people travel to a special event in the city.

Bangalore Metro's Early Services

The early services are being arranged for participants of the Karnataka State Level Police Run, which will take place in Bengaluru on the same day. Trains will start from all terminal stations on every metro line to make travel easier for runners and supporters.

Bangalore Metro Line Operations

On the Purple Line, trains will operate from Whitefield and Challaghatta. On the Green Line, services will begin from Madavara and Silk Institute. On the Yellow Line, metro trains will run from Bommasandra and RV Road. This special arrangement is made to ensure smooth and convenient travel for those attending the event.

Karnataka State Level Police Run

The Karnataka State Police, in partnership with the State Bank of India (SBI), Bengaluru Circle, is organizing the Karnataka State Level Police Run. This is the third edition of the Karnataka State Police (KSP) Run, which will be held on March 1.

Launching of the Event

The event was first launched in 2024 to celebrate 50 years of the Karnataka State Police. This year's theme is "Namma Police Namma Hemme," which means Our Police, Our Pride. The run aims to honour the dedication and service of the police force in protecting the state.

Participants

More than 10,000 people of different age groups are expected to participate. There will be two race categories. The Timed 10K Run is for experienced runners, while the Awareness 5K Run is open to the public to encourage fitness and community involvement. Both races will start and finish at Vidhana Soudha, and the route will pass through Cubbon Park.
