Ambedkar Park, in the city of Lucknow, has several other names, like Ambedkar Memorial and Ambedkar Udyan.
Dedicated to prominent leaders like Bhimrao Ambedkar, Mahatma Phule, Shahuji Maharaj, Shri Narayan Guru, and several other Dalit leaders, Ambedkar park has become a famous tourist attraction in Lucknow.
Based in the heart of Lucknow city, this gigantic Ambedkar Park house 124 different-sized statues of elephants, out of which 62 elephants are made up of sandstone. More than 350 artisans from Rajasthan have worked tirelessly day in and day out to spruce this park. Though it is commonly known as Ambedkar Park, its name was changed officially in May 2000 to Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial.
