The Sacred Heart Cathedral at Delhi is one of the oldest church structures in the capital city. It is a Roman Catholic Church and is located on a 14-acre land at the end of Bhai Vir Singh Marg on Connaught place. Conceptualized by Father Luke, the edifice of the holy place of worship boasts of a beautiful Italian architecture, which was designed by architect Henry Medd.
The interior of the church is also beautiful with polished stone floors, curved roof and vast beautiful arches. While the church organizes events and functions all through the year on special days, it celebrates major ceremonies like Easter and Christmas grandly. Various social and cultural events are also organized by the church throughout the year. The church is an architectural must-see in Delhi.
