Manapad Beach & Church, Thoothukudi

The Manapad Beach and Church are located 18 km from Thiruchendur and 70 km away from Kanyakumari. The church is known by the name of Holy Cross Church and was built in the year 1581. The church is located on the seashore and is associated with St. Francis Xavier. It is said that fragments of the True Cross that are placed in the church were bought from Jerusalem.
