Gulzari Lal Nanda was a saintly person, an honest and selfless politician.
Gulzari Lal Nanda was a patriot of the class of Nehru, Gandhi and Patel. He served the country as its labour minister, home minister and twice the prime minister after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
After his retirement from active politics, he made Kurukshetra his home and spent the rest of his life in improving the condition of its religious centres particularly Brahm Sarovar and Thanesar Temple. He built Sri Krishna Museum.
Nanda ji breathed his last breath on 15th January 1998. The Haryana government has built a beautiful memorial as a tribute for his contribution to the development of Kurukshetra.
