Khalifa Jamia Masjid, counted among the eight old mosques of Bhatkal, is approximately 200 years old and should be visited by travellers passing through this port town. This mosque is situated on the bank of the river Sharabi on Khalifa Street. The original mosque was taken down in 1966 and the new structure with two rising minarets was completed in 1972.
