Mysterious Places in Delhi – Part 2

Sanjay Van

The Sanjay Van is an area of about 10 km located near the Qutub Institutional Area which is believed to be haunted. One can see a lot of mausoleums of sufi saints here. Many scary incidents have been reported in the area. The mostly heard one is the sight of a lady dressed in white who appears and disappears in no time!

Delhi Ridge

Delhi Ridge is the extension of the Aravalli Ranges. This hilly and rocky forested area is not only a popular tourist attraction of the city, it is also haunted! Weird noises are figured have been reported in this place many a times. Be careful while visiting the Ridge as you may lose your mobile network as you enter the area.

Jamali Kamali Mosque

The Jamali Kamali tomb and mosque are located in the Mehrauli Archaeological Complex in Delhi. This is where two sufi saints Jamali and Kamali were buried. The eerie atmosphere of the place makes you feel that you are being followed. People have reported of hearing strange cries and some figures talking to them in animal voices using strange languages.

Khooni Darwaza

The name itself translates to the 'Blood-stained Gate'. This is a huge structure which has three rows of staircases that lead to different levels of the gate. The structure is believed to be haunted due to the events that took place here during historical times. The stones that have a reddish hue are said to be blood-stained, though it is just that the stones are worn out! It is truly a place worth exploring.

Feroz Shah Kotla

Close to Khooni Darwaza, you can find a fort known as Feroz Shah Kotla. The cold air of the place itself gives it a haunted feel. The locals here offer milk and light candles for the djinns here in the hope that their wishes would come true pleasing these spirits.
