Hyderabad-Mangaluru Special Train: South Central Railway has Extended its Operations to Handle Rush

Passengers travelling between Hyderabad and Mangaluru have an important railway update. South Central Railway has extended the operation of a weekly special train connecting the two cities, giving passengers an additional travel option in the coming months.

Hyderabad-Mangaluru Special Train Extension

Train No. 07097 Hyderabad Mangaluru Central Weekly Express Special, which was earlier scheduled to operate until September 2, 2026, will now run from September 9 to November 25, 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 07098 Mangaluru Central Hyderabad Weekly Express Special, which was earlier notified until September 3, will continue from September 10 to November 26, 2026. During the extended period, both trains will make 12 trips in each direction.

Major Stoppages & Revision of Timings

The weekly special train will continue to stop at 32 stations across Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. From Mangaluru Central, the train covers several important stations in Kerala, including Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur Junction and Palakkad Junction. In Karnataka, the service stops at Podanur Junction, Tiruppur, Erode Junction, Salem Junction, Kuppam, Bangarapet Junction, Krishnarajapuram, Yelahanka Junction, Hindupur and Dharmavaram Junction.

Further along the route, passengers can board or alight at Anantapur, Guntakal Junction, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir, Sedam and Vikarabad Junction. The train then reaches Hyderabad through Lingampalli and Begumpet.

South Central Railway has also revised the timings of Train No. 07098 Mangaluru Central Hyderabad Weekly Express Special at some stations. However, its stoppages and coach composition will remain unchanged.

Passengers travelling on the extended service should check the latest timings before beginning their journey. The revised schedule is available through the National Train Enquiry System, or NTES.
