Eastern Railway has extended the Patna-Howrah-Patna Special Train with 02024/02023 for 11 additional Sunday trips in October, November, and December 2026 to handle the expected increase in passenger demand during the festive season and provide more travel options on the Patna-Howrah route.
Patna-Howrah Special Train
The additional services will run on October 4, 11, 18 and 25; November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; and December 6 and 13. There will be no change in the train's existing timings, stoppages or composition, so passengers can use the same schedule while planning their journeys on the newly added dates. The special train connects important destinations across Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Starting from Patna Junction, it stops at Patna Sahib, Bakhtiyarpur, Barh, Mokama, Hathidah, Luckeesarai, Jamui and Jhajha in Bihar. After entering Jharkhand, the train stops at Jasidih, Madhupur, Jamtara and Chittaranjan. It then continues towards West Bengal, with stops at Asansol and Durgapur, before reaching its final destination, Howrah Junction.
The train extension is expected to make festive-season travel easier for passengers travelling between Patna and Howrah. The 11 additional Sunday services will give travellers more dates to choose from during the busy months. Since the timings and stoppages remain unchanged, passengers can follow the existing schedule for these newly added services.
