Thenkurussi, hamlet known for its picturesque beauty and rich heritage, is located at a distance of about 10 km from the town of Palakkad. The village is well connected by road, and there are frequent bus services from Palakkad. Nelliampathi, a tourist location of Palakkad known for its vast stretches of orange gardens, is about an hour’s journey from Thenkurussi.

This scenic village is best known for the many temples it houses of which the most renowned ones are the Thayankavu Temple, Elamannam Sanakaranarayanan Temple and Siva Temple-near Ambalanada.
