Kundrakudi Murugan Temple, Karaikudi

Kundrakudi Murugan Temple in Madurai is dedicated to Lord Murugan and his two consorts, Valli and Deivanai. The temple is situated on the top of a small hill.

The unique feature of the temple is the idol of the Lord Murugan with six faces at Kundrakudi Murugan Temple. Murugan is also known as Lord Shanmuga or the god with six faces.

As you climb the hill on your way to the temple, you also see the temple of Lord Ganesha located at the bottom of the hill. Next to the temple of Lord Ganesha is another temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. In this temple Lord Murugan is worshipped in the form of Lord Palani Murugan.
