Ambakkudi Sree Ainthu Veetu Kaliamman Kovil is a Hindu temple that is located at a distance of 15 km from the town of Karaikudi. A "kovil" or "koil" is the Tamil word for a Hindu temple.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and many devotees of the god throng to the temple each year to offer their prayers at the altar and seek his blessings. The temple also has an idol of Goddess Parvati, who is the consort of Shiva.

The temple has an imposing structure and consists of a huge rajagopuram. Within the premises of the temple is a tank or a theertham. The theertham is popular among the locals who take a dip in the holy waters of the theertham on festival days and on the important days of their lives.
