Ramchaura Mandir is a landmark destination of Hajipur tourism. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama which marks his visit to Hajipur on his way to Janakpur. The temple is built where the footprint was embossed on the ground. Legends proclaim that Lord Rama underwent his first head shaving ceremony in Hajipur. The place witnesses colossal celebrations during the festival of Rama Navami, and is accompanied by a fair. The sanctimonious place also has "Bari Sangat" and "Chhoti Sangat" which were visited by many saints in ancient period to offer prayers.
