Yercaud

Situated close to the Western Ghats, the town is an important centre for agricultural produce. This also means you can see many coconut farms, rice fields and other plantations. At short distances of lesser than 100 km from Pollachi, you can visit popular attractions such as Top Slip, Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Thirumoorthy Hills, Amaravathy Dam and Crocodile Park, etc. Pollachi is also popular for temples; Arulmigu Subramanyar Thirukoil Temple and Arivu Thirukoil.

The most popular hill station in Tamil Nadu is also one of the best places to visit in South India in August. At an elevation of nearly 7000 ft, Kodaikanal boasts of cool temperatures and picturesque surroundings. You will be entranced by the grassy meadows, the rays of sunlight that struggle to penetrate through the tall eucalyptus trees, scenic lakes and much more. There is much to see in and around Kodaikanal, you can start with the Berijam Lake, Pillar Rocks, Pine Forest, Silver Cascade, Dolphin's Nose, Bear Shola Falls, Coaker's Walk, etc. Also, don't miss out on trying the home-made chocolates here.

The scenic place will relax and rejuvenate your senses. Visit the Periyar Tiger Reserve, Periyar Lake, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Murikkady, Chellar Kovil and Anakkara.
