Rishikund is a sacred pond, which is situated close to Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. It is believed that the Goddess of the river Yamuna, pleased with the gentleness of Saint Kubz, filled the pond with water.
Tourists can see the reflection of the ancient Raghunath Temple, dedicated to the Hindu deities, Rama and Sita, in the pond. Two of the famous shrines, the Lakshman Temple and the Bharat Temple, are situated in proximity to Rishikund.
