Lakshman Jhula is a 450 ft suspension bridge, which offers the magnificent view of the river, temples, and ashrams. It was originally a jute bridge, which was reconstructed in 1939 as a suspension iron bridge.
It is believed that the Hindu Lord Rama’s younger brother Lakshman once used this bridge to cross the river Ganga. Since then, the bridge is called the Lakshman Jhula. The famous Swarg Ashram is situated at a distance of 2 km from the bridge. The Ram Jhoola is a popular tourist destination located nearby. Built in 1980, it is a replica of Lakshman Jhula.
