Periya Nayaki Amman Temple, Palani

Periya Nayaki Amman Temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati also known as Goddess Periya Nayaki Amman in this region. The Goddess holds a distinct place as the mother of Lord Subramanya.

The architectural style of the temple is in the South Indian style, and it houses several smaller shrines of Lord Nataraja, Vinayaka, Lord Murugan, Kailasanatha and Muthukumaraswamy among several other Shaivite deities. Vaigasi Vesak day is one of the major festivals celebrated in this temple with a grand procession.
