Dutch Fort, Nagapattinam

The Dutch Fort is located in Tranquebar close to Nagapattinam, at a driving distance. The fort which was constructed in the year 1620 is a splendid example of ancient Danish architecture. Even today it is considered to be one of the finest architectural pieces. The fort is a must visit for those interested in colonial history and architecture.
