Gandhi Memorial’s foundation stone was laid in 1972 to honour nationalism. Mr. Vidyakar Kavi, a Gandhian, dedicated it to the nation. This memorial pillar commemorates the memory of Champaran Satyagrah of Mahatma Gandhi who spearheaded the voice against the atrocities of the British Indigo planters against poor peasants of Champaran.
