This temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, who was the incarnation of God Vishnu as per Hindu mythology. Devotees have to trek up the hill at Kurumgad Island in order to reach this temple. Thousands of pilgrims from across the country visit the Narasimha Temple during January in order to partake in Yathra, the annual festival.
