Tourists planning a trip to Karwar are advised to visit the Narasimha Temple, which is situated on the top of Kurumgad Island at a distance of 6 km from the city. This temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, who was the incarnation of God Vishnu as per Hindu mythology.

Devotees have to trek up the hill at Kurumgad Island in order to reach this temple. Thousands of pilgrims from across the country visit the Narasimha Temple during January in order to partake in the Yathra, the annual festival. Tourists on a trip to Karwar can reach this religious site via a ferry from Sadhashivgad Boat Jetty.
