Devi Talab Mandir is a famous religious site, located a kilometre away from the Jalandhar City Railway Station. It happens to be one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. As per a folklore, this temple is built on the site where the right breast of Goddess Sati fell. It is one of the 51 Shakthipeethas of the country. This 200-year old temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and has a tank, which is considered sacred by Hindus.
Moreover, the temple also has an idol of Bhisan Bhairav (Lord Shiva). Every year in December, Hariballabh Sangeet Sammelan is organised here, which attracts a large number of musicians and travellers from near and far. Besides, there is a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali in proximity to this mandir. The temple's structure resembles like the cave temple of Amarnath.
