Summer

The summer season extends between April and June. May, June and mid-July are considered to be the hottest months. During summers, the average temperature ranges between 30° C and 41° C.

Monsoon

July through September constitute the monsoon season in Jalandhar, with an average annual rainfall recorded as 70 cm. The post-monsoon period extends from mid-September to the beginning of November.

Winter

The winter season commences in November and lasts till March. January is considered to be the coldest month, when the temperature drops to 6° C.
