Yana caves- a wonderful formation of nature, Gokarna

A village called Yana, near Kumta Sirsi highway, is home to two enormous black monolithic rocks. One is called Bhairaveshwara shikhara ( the tallest peak), and the other is Mohini Shikara. People assume these two rocks as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, respectively, and visit the temple with devotion.

Due to its location near western ghats, around 50 Km from Gokarna, it has a rocky terrain accompanied by ever-enchanting lush green trees. In Yana village, located 140 km from Hubli, you can expect to see mushroom-style huts, mud roads, and quiet rural life. The beauty of the waterfall is something tourists would never want to miss.
