Bhuvaraha Swami Temple, Cuddalore

Bhuvaraha Swami Temple is one among the eight prominent Vaishnava Shrines. The temple is located in Srimushanam and was constructed by the Nayaks whose portraits are engraved in the pillars of the hall. The unique feature of the temple is that its image, which is that of Varaha Avatar, is Swayam Vyaktakshetra or self-created.

The temple also houses a gorgeous Mandapam which is called by the name of Purushasukara Mandapam. The Mandapam was built in the 17th century and is designed to look like a chariot with figures of warriors riding on horse and elephant backs.
