Machla Magra, Udaipur /2023

Machla Magra is a small hill having a shape similar to that of a fish and is often referred to as Ekling Garh. The hill, located very close to Sajjangarh, was used as an ordnance dump when the Scindias attacked the city in 1764.

The hill stands at a height of 2,469 ft above the sea level and hence the aerial view of the entire city lying below can be seen from here. The walls of one of the gates of the City Palace, 'Kishan Pol', are attached to this hill.
