In order to make a Gharana Wetland in Jammu accessible in a sustainable way as a bird sanctuary, the Indian government plans to improve. It is emerging in a way that would make Gharana a popular destination for visitors to Jammu.
The Gharana location will be transformed into a bird sanctuary as part of the government's ongoing effort to implement its tourism development plans. Although the planning may require some time, it is intended to construct in a restricted manner with all utilities and amenities. This wetland is located at least 35 kilometers away from Jammu.
The development needed to make Gharana a sustainably developed location is now being handled by the authorities. The wetland will be developed into one of Jammu and India's top tourist destinations.
According to sources, Gharana will have a decent approach road, guest parking space, and chain-link fences if the location is developed as a tourist destination. While ensuring that neither of these activities disrupts the birds' natural habitat.
The Gharana Wetland is a significant habitat that is essential to the preservation of the region's wetlands and wildlife. It is a crucial location for migratory birds, and the marshland is home to a wide range of plants and animals, including various migratory bird species.
Around 65 species of native and migratory birds call the Gharana Wetland home. White-breasted ibis, Bar-headed geese, Northern pintails, Gadwalls, Northern shovelers, and Eurasian wigeon are a few of the birds that flock here.
