Northern Railways to Introduce Vistadome AC Train for Spectacular Kashmir Journey
Amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of the Kashmir Valley, the Northern Railways is set to launch a cutting-edge all-weather glass-ceiling AC train Vistadome on October 19. Having successfully conducted trial runs earlier this year from Budgam to Baramulla, the Vistadome coach is poised to traverse the picturesque railway track from Budgam to Banihal, stopping at key destinations including Budgam, Srinagar, Awantipora, Anantnag, Qazigund, and Banihal.
Crafted by the Indian Railways, these state-of-the-art Vistadome coaches are tailored to ensure travelers experience ultimate comfort, all while offering expansive windows and seating for a delightful sightseeing escapade.
According to a senior official, the Vistadome coach, set to accommodate 40 passengers, aims to cater to both the locals and tourists, making it a noteworthy addition to the Valley's transportation landscape.
Highlighting its key features, the officials emphasized the coach's remarkable elements including LED lights, rotatable seats, inbuilt GPS-based information systems, and an advanced infotainment setup. With its innovative glass ceiling design, passengers can relish panoramic views of the region, including the stunning snow-capped mountains, saffron fields, and the serene landscapes.
Ensuring safety and security, the Vistadome coaches are equipped with advanced features such as CCTV cameras, promising a secure and delightful journey for the passengers. Furthermore, the coaches are outfitted with robust air conditioning systems, ensuring a comfortable ride during the Valley's contrasting weather conditions.
The forthcoming Vistadome train service is anticipated to operate along the Banihal to Baramulla stretch, covering the distance in a remarkable 90 minutes. While the ticket pricing details are yet to be finalized, officials are optimistic that the Vistadome coaches will garner significant interest among the travelers flocking to the Kashmir Valley.
