Baba Balraj Temple Balachaur was built in commemoration of the renowned Baba Raj Dev, who came to this place in the 16th century and started meditating here. After his demise, his son built this temple in the year 1596.
Earlier, in 1534, Sher Shah Suri came to seek blessings of baba before going for a battle against Humayun. On the day after Diwali, a fair is organised, where wrestling matches are held. This temple is located in a beautiful village of Balachaur, which is at a distance of 18.7 km from Nawanshahr city.
