The Indian Botanical Garden, also known as the Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose Indian Botanical Garden is not very far from Howrah’s town centre. It harbours a great collection of rare flora with over 12 thousand specimens spread over a 100 hectares.
The park was inaugurated by a British army officer way back in the 1700s. Scientists are also active here with many growth observations happening continuously. The garden is a great place to spend an afternoon which might also help in learning a couple of things.
