The Marine Aquarium and Research Centre (MARC) is a great place for kids to enjoy an afternoon. It is one of the only marine centres in the region with a fully functional aquarium and a continuous sea water circulation system is installed here. It has been open to visitors for years. The various exhibits are entertaining and educational.

It is one of the most famous beaches of Digha. The most distinctive feature of this interesting beach is the fact that half of it lies in the state of West Bengal and the other half lies in the state of Orissa. The Casuarina vegetation against the horizon makes for an amazing view coupled with the natural slopes of the Eastern Ghats, which makes this place a must visit if you are in and around Digha.

Whether you are a fishing buff or have never experienced fishing before, Shankarpur is the place to be. The fishermen here rig up their gear at the beach early in the morning and some of the best catch in the region comes from Shankarpur. It is located just around 166 km from Digha and quite a place to relax and unwind.
