Panchbol Point, Chikhaldara

The Panchbol Point is a scenic point 4 km away from Bir Lake, based in the region of Chikhaldara. It provides with a panoramic view of the surroundings. On one side, the coffee plantations can be viewed. On the other side, there are close to five hills that come together to form a huge valley in the middle which can be observed from this point.

The Panchbol Point has derived its name from the belief that if you shout out anything, you can hear the echo back not once but five distinct times. Hence the name ‘Panchbol’ – which means Five Echoes.
