Museums, Chikhaldara

There are two museums located in Chikhaldara, one is in the Maharashtra Forest Ranger’s College and another is the Melghat Tiger Project. The Maharashtra Forest Ranger’s College museum consists of a wide range of samples of various wild animal species and plants that are available for visitors to see.

It also houses some of the rare fossils. The Melghat Tiger Project is yet another museum started out keeping the issue of the depleting number of tigers in mind. The project forms a part of the Gugamal National Park, and is located close to the Yoga Training Centre.
