Mandarmani or Mandarboni is a seaside village in West Bengal. The village lies in the northern end of the Bay of Bengal and is located in the district of East Midnapore. The village is home to a seaside resort which makes it one of the largest and fast developing seaside villages in West Bengal.
Mandarmani is well known for its long beaches, and one can find red crabs crawling across the shore. It is also one amongst the drive in beaches in India, apart from the Muzhappilangad beach in Kerala.
The beach here has relatively lesser waves, in comparison to others in the state. The place is very scenic and beautiful. The sand beach has an amazing aura which makes it a great place to visit, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Best Time To Visit
The seaside village can be visited throughout the year; however, the summer months may tend to get a bit humid as it is a coastal town. During the summers, the days are a bit too hot but the nights are relatively cooler.
How To Reach
By Air: The nearest airport to Mandarmani is the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, which is at a distance of 180 km. The airport has regular flights to all the major cities in the country and a few abroad. One can hire a taxi from here to reach Mandarmani.
By Train: The nearest railway station is at Digha Town; the station has a large number of trains available to all the major towns and cities in and around the state as well as to a few destinations across the country.
By Road: Travelling by road is one of the best ways to reach Mandarmani and there are regular and frequent buses to the place. There are plenty of buses which are operated by the state transport as well as private agents which can be availed from Esplanade, Gariahat or Howrah.

1. Mandarmani Beach
Considered to be one of the safest beaches in the country, the Mandarmani beach is one of the highly popular destinations. The beach is one of the cleanest and is considered to be one amongst the most popular tourist destinations in the state of West Bengal. The seaside is also credited of being one of the drive in beaches in the country.

The beach is a perfect destination for those who love water sports and also the adventure seekers. The beach is not overly crowded like other beaches and is a perfect place to take a lazy holiday from the hustle and bustle of city life.
One can try his/her hands on the ATV bike rides, jet skiing, banana boat rides and bungee trampoline.
2. Digha Beach
The stunning looks of the beach here would make any person fall in love with the place almost immediately. The beach is about 7 km long and is known as the Brighton of the east. A shallow beach and calm waters makes it a safe place to go for a swim in the sea. The beach in addition provides some brilliant views of the sunrises as well as sunsets.

3. The Delta
Located on the outskirts of the main town, the area is home to most of the resorts and hotels. The place is also known as mohana or river delta and one can notice dense population of the Jhau trees and also settlements of the fishermen folk.
