Bengaluru Metro Purple Line Services to be Suspended on 9 August from 7 A.M. to 9 A.M.

Namma Metro services on a section of the Purple Line in Bengaluru will be temporarily suspended for two hours on Sunday, August 9, due to scheduled maintenance work, announced by The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Friday.

Bengaluru Metro Purple Line Services to be Suspended on Sunday

According to BMRCL, metro services between Baiyappanahalli and M.G. Road stations will remain suspended from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The maintenance work will be carried out on the stretch between Swami Vivekananda Road and Indiranagar Metro stations. However, the temporary suspension will affect only the Baiyappanahalli-M.G. Road section. Metro services on other sections will continue to operate according to their normal schedules during the maintenance period.

Regular services will continue on the Challaghatta-M.G. Road section of the Purple Line. Trains will also operate as usual between Baiyappanahalli and Whitefield (Kadugodi). There will be no change in services on the Madavara-Silk Institute and R.V. Road-Bommasandra sections.

BMRCL has said that normal metro operations on the affected Baiyappanahalli-M.G. Road stretch will resume at 9 a.m. on Sunday after the maintenance work is completed.

Advisory for Bengaluru Metro Commuters

Passengers travelling on this part of the Purple Line have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and take note of the temporary service disruption. The suspension is being carried out to allow officials to complete essential maintenance work safely and efficiently.
