The Holy Rock

The 'Holy Rock' is considered sacred as there is a foot print of Guru Padmasambhava on this rock. There is a small opening in this rock through which water keeps flowing.

Devotees come to this place to offer worship to the Guru. Tourists coming here can enjoy the scenic view of this place.

Confluence of Rivers

A tourist place in Chungthang is the area where the rivers Lachen and Lachung Chu confluence. It is an activity centre with boating, fishing and swimming being the major activities held here. It is also an ideal spot to go for a picnic with your family.

How to Reach Chungthang

By Air: The nearest airport to Chungthang is the Bagdogra Airport. It is about 121 km away from the place and is well connected with all major cities in the country.

By Train: The New Jalpaiguri Station is the nearest railway station to Chungthang at a distance of 220 km. It is connected to other states in the country.

By Road: Chungthang is close by Mangan. It is 30 km away from Mangan from where Chungthang can be easily reached by buses or taxis that play on a regular basis.
