On September 18, the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh will make history by unveiling a stunning statue of Adi Shankaracharya.

Adi Shankaracharya, a respected and influential Hindu philosopher from the eighth century, is honoured by this statue, which rises to a towering height of 108 feet.
Adi Shankaracharya, an important figure in the formation of the Hindu philosophical tradition known as Advaita Vedanta, was born in the eighth century. His deep teachings on the idea of non-duality, which emphasised the unity of the individual self (Atman) along with the ultimate reality (Brahman), made him widely recognized. Millions of people continue to be inspired by and guided by his philosophical writings and commentaries on ancient scriptures.
The choice to build such a magnificent statue is evidence of Adi Shankaracharya's teachings' ongoing value. Additionally, it conveys the utmost regard and reverence that the people of Madhya Pradesh have for this renowned guru.

The Advaita Vedanta philosophy, developed by Adi Shankaracharya, has its global center in Omkareshwar, which is roughly 80 km from Indore on the banks of the Narmada River. An official announcement stated that the first phase of the development project included the construction of this great statue on the Mandhata mountain in the temple town. Its imposing presence will surely become a center of attraction for tourists, researchers, and enlightened individuals from all over the world.
A 36-hectare "Advaita Forest" is being developed in the town along with the opening of an international Vedanta institute and the "Advaita Lok" museum in Omkareshwar, which is devoted to preserving as well as showcasing the philosophical teachings of Advaita Vedanta.

Adi Shankaracharya is shown in the multi-metal monument as a 12-year-old boy. The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday released a video of the unfinished project. According to religious traditions, Adi Shankaracharya left Omkareshwar when he was 12 years old and roamed the nation educating people about the Advaita Vedanta philosophy and its precepts.
He is thought to have travelled to Omkareshwar after becoming a sanyasi (monk) at a young age, where he encountered his guru Govind Bhagwadpad and resided for four years while receiving an education.
The unveiling of this statue is very significant historically, culturally, and religiously. In addition to paying tribute to Adi Shankaracharya's legacy, it also serves as a reminder of India's extensive philosophical past. The country's intellectual and spiritual landscape has been impacted by Adi Shankaracharya's teachings for millennia, and this statue will serve as a visible reminder of his enormous influence.
