It is difficult for parents to engage there kids on a weekend or holidays. Kids need a different environment to enjoy, otherwise they tend to become bored and cranky. Toy train in Bal Bhavan

Cubbon Park and Bal Bhavan

Cubbon Park is the most popular place in Bangalore. Bal Bhavan inside the Cubbon park is a kid's zone. A small amusement park with a toy train, Dolls museum, a 20 million year old fossilized tree, children's park with number of games will provide a best time for your kids. In Bal Bhavan various recreational activities like craft classes, painting classes also take place every week.
Timings: 10.30am - 6pm ( closed on Thursdays)

HAL Aerospace Museum

HAL Aerospace Museum is the best place if your kids are excited about helicopters and aeroplanes. It is situated at HAL premises, Varthur road in Marathalli. The Heritage centre and Aerospace museum exhibits the development of Aerospace industry in India.
Timings: 9 am - 5 pm ( open on all days)

Bannerghatta National Park

Bannerghatta National Park is a famous tourist destination in Bangalore. It is also a Biological reserve with an animal rescue centre, butterfly park, a snake house and a safari ride.
The park houses a zoo, elephant sanctuary ( forested sanctuary where elephants can roam freely) and a butterfly conservation centre.
There is entry fee for Safari, Grand Safari and Butterfly park. Boating is also there inside the park.
Timings: Zoo- ( 9am - 5pm)
Safari - ( 9am - 4.30pm )

Wonderla Amusement Park

Wonderla is the best amusement park in Bangalore. It is a place for adults and kids; water games and land games each have separate sections for kids. Wonderla is maintained well and has number of facilities. Kids as well as adults will enjoy equally with number of things like rain dance, swimming pool, 3D and 4D movies in the park.
Entry fee is little expensive but the park is worth the money.
Timings : 11am - 6pm ( Monday- Friday)

Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain Park

Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain Park hosts a musical fountain show. It is situated opposite to Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Raj Bhavan road, Vasanth Nagar.
This park is maintained by Horticulture department and is a well maintained park.
Timings : 7- 7.30pm and 8 -8.30pm ( all days except Monday and Second Tuesdays)

Ulsoor Lake

Ulsoor lake is the biggest and the oldest lake in Bangalore. It is one of the perfect getaway to feel the tranquil atmosphere within Bangalore. Kids will enjoy the nature as well as the boating in the lake.

Sri Vani Science Park

In Sri Vani Science Park kids can learn science in a fun and interesting way. This 4 acre green land is designed in the model of Gurukul system. Plants of various species, Life size animal models, an open air Physics lab, Biodiversity park, Mini forest are the attractions inside the park.
Hanumavana as it was called before is located near Sunkadakatte, Magadi road.

Snow City

Snow city is the best place to experience artificial snow falls, snow rides, etc. It is an amusement park which creates the snow season where your kids will enjoy a lot. It is situated in Jaymahal , Fun World complex, JC Nagar.

Government Museum

Government Museum and Venkatappa Art Gallery
Government museum is the second oldest museum in India. It is now an archeological museum with number of artefacts. Taking your kids there will be educative and fun. Kids will learn about the history and get to see age old coins, sculptures, etc.

Venkatappa Art Gallery is also situated in this museum complex. The gallery has number of paintings by Venkatappa. It is a must place for kids.

Innovative Film City

Innovative Film City is an amusement park which houses land games as well as water games. It also has number of attractions like Mirror Maze, Wax Museum, Haunted Mansion, Dino Park, etc. It is also a place where number of film shoots take place. Film city is situated near Bidadi.
