Gurgaon, now officially known as Gurugram, is a beautiful city of Haryana that is rapidly becoming one of the most important industrial hubs of India. The city is dotted with lofty skyscrapers, well-planned parks and entertainment centres like Kingdom of Dreams, CyberHub, etc.
In spite of having the best of everything, it is only natural to feel the urge to discover new or unexplored places on a long weekend. Damdama Lake

Being one of the largest lakes in Haryana, Damdama Lake is located only 24 km south of Gurgaon. The lake is mainly rain fed by the monsoon; therefore, it's best to visit the lake between July to September.
It is a habitat for almost 190 species of birds that include local and migratory birds; therefore, don't forget to grab your binoculars when you head to this picturesque getaway near Gurgaon.
You can also indulge in rock climbing, boating, ride on hot air balloons, etc. in Damdama Lake.
Chandigarh

Neemrana is a town in Rajasthan that is particularly famous for the ancient Neemrana Fort Palace that was built in 1464, at the Aravalli ranges of mountains. This beautiful Fort Palace has now been turned into a luxury hotel where you can now experience, briefly, the life of our royal ancestors.
It is located 92 km from Gurgaon that takes 2 hours to be covered. Visit other places around Neemrana, such as Bala Qila, Sariska National Park, etc.
Jaipur
