Tourists can also visit Tapovana, the place where Sri Vadiraja Swamy used to meditate, while visiting Sonda. It is located along the Shalmala river, 5 km away from the Vadiraja Matha. Considered to be the ideal place for meditation, Tapovan has several relics which verify that the site was visited by Sri Vadiraja Swami when he prayed to Lord Hayagriva.
