Manma Mata Temple, Rajouri

The Manma Mata Temple is a popular pilgrimage site that lies on the Rajouri Road. This site is devoted to Mata Devi as it is believed that Manma Mata Devi had arrived in this region for meditation purpose. Visitors will find a cave in proximity to this pilgrimage site.

According to local belief, a bull fell from the top of the mound where the cave is located, but remained unhurt because of the spiritual powers of Manma Mata. Devotees in large numbers visit the Manma Mata Temple during the Navaratri festival. A big ‘yagya’ is performed at this pilgrimage site at the time of Navaratri.
