Indian Railways has announced special trains for Krishna Janmashtami 2026 to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic during the festival. The special services will operate between Delhi, Mathura, Varanasi and Ringas Junction from September 3 to September 6. These trains will provide additional travel options, particularly for passengers travelling to Mathura and Vrindavan during the festival.

Krishna Janmashtami Special Trains 2026
Two pairs of unreserved special trains will run between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Mathura on September 3, 4 and 5. Train 04410 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 10:30 am and reach Mathura at 1:05 pm. The return train 04409 will depart Mathura at 1:35 pm and arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4:45 pm. The trains will stop at stations including Okhla, Tughlakabad, Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Palwal, Hodal, Kosi Kalan, Chata, Vrindaban Road and Bhuteshwar.
Another pair, trains 04412 and 04411, will also operate on the same dates. Train 04412 will depart Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9:45 am and reach Mathura at 12:20 pm. The return service, 04411, will leave Mathura at 12:50 pm and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4:30 pm. It will cover similar stations on the route.
Railways will also operate Delhi-Varanasi-Delhi Special Express trains 04446 and 04445. Train 04446 will run from Delhi to Varanasi on September 3 and 5, departing Delhi at 9:10 pm and reaching Varanasi at 3 pm the next day. The return train 04445 will operate from Varanasi on September 4 and 6, leaving at 8:15 pm and reaching Delhi at 11:45 am the next day. It will have AC, Sleeper and General coaches and stop at major stations such as New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Ayodhya Cantt and Jaunpur Junction.
The Delhi-Ringas unreserved special trains 04415 and 04416 will also operate during the festival period. Train 04415 will leave Delhi at 6:50 pm and reach Ringas at 12:40 am. The return train 04416 will depart Ringas at 2 am and reach Delhi at 7 am. These services will stop at Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Delhi Cantt, Gurgaon, Rewari, Narnaul and Nim Ka Thana.
