For instance, the Jaipur Railway Station's redevelopment will showcase elements reminiscent of the iconic Hawa Mahal and Amer Fort from Rajasthan.
Integrated Urban Development Approach:
Embracing a holistic approach to urban development, the scheme treats the railway stations as "City Centres." This strategic perspective involves creating well-designed traffic circulation, inter-modal connectivity, and clear signage for passengers' guidance. The aim is to integrate both sides of the city seamlessly, ensuring a harmonious coexistence between transportation hubs and urban spaces.
Phased Development and Sustainable Solutions:
The Amrit Bharat Station scheme operates on a continuous, phased development model. It includes the formulation of Master Plans for stations and their implementation in stages. The comprehensive improvements encompass station access, circulating areas, waiting halls, toilets, lift/escalators, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi, kiosks for local products, and more. The scheme also prioritizes the creation of city centres at the stations in the long term.
