The fixation of the terminal station of the Gurgaon Metro at Cyber City has been stuck because state agencies have not agreed on the location of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) station, since the metro alignment depends on where the RRTS station is built, resulting in delays in the

project.
Additional Details of RRTS Station Location
A high-powered committee led by chief secretary Anurag Rastogi held on Wednesday has not identified any solution. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) suggested building the RRTS station at Shankar Chowk, with minor changes to entry and exit points. However, the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has objected, stating the plan could create heavy traffic problems. NCRTC, however, added that the sharp curve in the RRTS corridor leaves little room for shifting the station elsewhere.
Officials from Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) stated they cannot finalise the terminal station until the RRTS location is decided. A six-member committee was set up earlier to resolve this issue, but discussions are still ongoing. HSIIDC has warned that placing the RRTS station opposite the proposed metro terminal and near the existing Rapid Metro station could lead to crowding. NCRTC argues that having stations close by makes travel easier and improves interchanges. NCRTC is working on a detailed plan to support it, and GMRL has also been asked to draft a policy for properties that may be affected by land acquisition.
The committee also discussed setting up a casting yard for phase 2 of the metro. HSVP has agreed to provide 10 hectares of land in Sector 10, but the site has waste that will be cleared by October 31. Moreover, Minister Rao Narbir Singh has suggested building an underground metro stretch from Sector 9 to Cyber City to reduce congestion and protect greenery.
