The Dehradun Vande Bharat Express, a semi-high-speed train, officially commenced its regular services on the mentioned date. Catering to the route between Lucknow and Dehradun, this train is poised to offer convenient travel options for tourists and regular commuters alike.

Designed with amenities akin to those found on airplanes, the Vande Bharat Express stands as India's foremost semi-high-speed train. Operating six days a week on the Lucknow-Dehradun route, here are the detailed timings:

Departure from Lucknow Junction: 5:15 AM
Arrival at Dehradun: 1:35 PM
Return journey from Dehradun:
Departure: 2:25 PM
Arrival at Lucknow Junction: 10:40 PM

Spanning a distance of 586 kilometers between Lucknow and Dehradun, this express train completes the journey in approximately 8 hours and 20 minutes. In comparison, other trains plying the same route usually take around 11 to 12 hours to cover the same distance.

The Vande Bharat Express halts at several key stations along the route, including Lucknow Junction, Bareilly Junction, Muradabad Junction, Haridwar, and Dehradun.

Ticket bookings for this train commenced on March 15, and reports suggest that tickets have been selling rapidly since the first day. Both AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car tickets are in high demand, with some tickets currently on waiting status for travel on March 31.

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that the Patna-Lucknow Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat Express has been operational since March 18. This train, which passes through Ayodhya, operates six days a week, departing from Patna at 6:05 AM.
