Mamleshwar Temple, Mandi

Mamleshwar Temple, located at a distance of 13 km from Chindi in the Mandi district, is devoted to Lord Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction. The temple enshrines an idol of the deity which has been carved out of a stone. Renowned for its beautiful architecture, the temple has beautifully carved wooden pillars. Other attractions of the temple include a 6 ft tall drum and a lone grain of wheat, weighing a surprising 250 g. According to a legend, the temple was built by the Pandavas during their period of exile.
