Kamaksha Devi Temple, Mandi

Kamaksha Devi Temple, dedicated to Kamaksha Devi, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, is a prominent religious site located in the Kao village, in the Mandi district. According to a legend, the goddess killed the demon Mahishasura at this place. Buffaloes are sacrificed at this temple every year during the Hindu festival of Navratri. The temple is famous for its traditional Pagoda architectural style, beautiful paintings and wood carvings. Located at a distance of just 7 km from Karsog, the temple is easily accessible.
