Arthur’s Seat – named in the memory of Arthur Malet – is around 1470 m high and situated around 10 km away from Mahabaleshwar. Malet is supposed to be the first man to have built a home at this spot.
The divergence between the Deccan and Konkan territories can be clearly examined from this point. To the left lies the Savitri Valley, while the right occupies another shallow valley. The Window Point is another point just beneath the Arthur’s Seat which offers a great view.
