Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad

Ramakrishna Math of Hyderabad is in the Domalguda area on the Lower Tank Bund Road. It was opened in the city in 1974 and since then has acquired millions of devotees. The math is not only a place of worship; it has different educational departments that include Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Vivekananda Library, Gita Darshan, Vivekananda Universal Temple and more. The devotees at Ramakrishna Math try to serve the humanity in all possible ways; by feeding the poor, educating children, distributing free educational books among poor students and providing breakfast to school going children.

The math aims at fulfilling the “Annandana, Vidyana and Jnandana” regulations that were established by Swami Vivekananda himself. The math also tries to empower the poor by not only giving them free education but also by helping them grow spiritually and mentally. Everyone regardless of their religion and culture is welcome to become devotees of the Ramakrishna movement. There are many service activities that volunteers can perform at the math.
