Kodumudi is a populous panchayat town of Tamil Nadu situated in the Erode district. The average elevation of the town is 144m. It is believed by the people of the state that this town is one of the shikarams of Kailash. The place is being situated on the banks of the river Kaveri. Thousands of pilgrims come to this place during the Brahmotsavam festival. Lamps are being lit and are set in the river in order to afloat.
