Bansi Gopal Temple, Dalhousie

Bansi Gopal Temple showcases the Shikhara style architecture of the medieval era. This temple is devoted to the Hindu deity Krishna and his beloved Radha. The temple finds mention in history, when King Balbhadra, 1595 AD, speaks about it in his copper inscription. The entrance of the temple is decorated with sculptures of characters from the Hindu mythology. Visitors will also see the romantic panorama of Khajuraho at the temple’s periphery. In addition to this, one can also find images of other Hindu deities like Harihara, Surya, Vishnu and Uma Maheshvra.
